Frigidaire GRMC2273CF refrigerator water filter: PWF-2 (FPPWFU02)
Frigidaire Canada’s exact GRMC2273CF page names PWF-2/FPPWFU02 as the replacement water filter and separately lists A15601108 as a PWF-2 bypass. The shared PWF-2 product page gives a 125-gallon or six-month limit, top-right location, push-to-lock installation, operating limits, specified NSF/ANSI claims, and Connect authentication details. Follow the exact model guide for access and reset; do not treat the bypass as a cartridge or generalize this fit to other models.
Safety boundary
- FPPWFU02 includes PurePour Connect authentication. Follow the exact model manual, do not bypass an incorrect-filter error, and do not force the cartridge.
- Follow Frigidaire’s 1.5-gallon/3-minute purge guidance and discard the purge water; inspect for leaks before use.
- If the appliance lists bypass A15601108, do not mistake it for a replacement cartridge.
Compatibility requires a direct model listing, explicit supersession, or equivalent manufacturer evidence.
Required identifiers
- Complete model from appliance label: GRMC2273CF

- The same exact model support page lists bypass A15601108 for PWF-2; it is not a filter cartridge.
Compatibility rules
- This exact model’s page identifies PWF-2/FPPWFU02 and separately lists A15601108 as a bypass for PWF-2; the Connect filter may raise a control-panel error if a counterfeit or incorrect cartridge is installed.
- The cited manufacturer model/support/specification page is the fit receipt for GRMC2273CF; do not infer fit for another finish, suffix, revision, or nearby series.
Never assume
- FPPWFU02 fits all Frigidaire refrigerators or another product merely because the name or filter appearance is similar.
- The refrigerator water cartridge is interchangeable with its air/odor filter, produce preserver, housing, or bypass plug.
- The manufacturer’s named contaminant/certification claims cover every contaminant or make microbiologically unsafe or unknown-quality water safe.
- Frigidaire says PWF-2 is the water cartridge; the model may also use an air filter/produce-preserver component with a different part number.
- FPPWFU01/PWF-1 and FPPWFU02/PWF-2 are separate filter families; do not substitute one for the other by appearance.

Filter identity and limits
Frigidaire rates PWF-2 at 125 gallons and recommends replacement by six months or 125 gallons, whichever comes first. The product specification lists front top-right filter location, push-to-lock, 30–100 psi, 33–100°F and NSF International certification against NSF/ANSI Standards 42, 53, and 401 for named claims. Frigidaire says PurePour Connect helps detect a genuine correctly installed cartridge on select refrigerators; its generic setup advice is to flush about 1.5 gallons/three minutes and discard it.
Replacement guidance and boundary
The Frigidaire Canada exact-model support page is the model-fit receipt for GRMC2273CF. Use FPPWFU02/PWF-2 only for the listed model. The bypass A15601108 is a separate accessory and is not the replacement water filter.

Follow the exact model owner guide for access and indicator reset; stop if the cartridge does not seat normally.
