LiftMaster 8360WLB battery, sensor, and rail-part lookup
For exact LiftMaster 8360WLB, the OEM parts diagram lists battery G485LM, safety sensor kit 041-0136, bracket kit 041-0155-000, and separate chain assemblies for 7-foot, 8-foot, and 10-foot doors (041D3484, 041D3483, and 041D3485). It also lists cover 041D8858 under the diagram label “COVER, 8360WL.” LiftMaster says 041-0155-000 brackets only fit the 041-0136 sensor generation. Confirm the full model and the installed rail/door height with the exact manual or LiftMaster support. This is a lookup only; chain and opener-drive repair are not homeowner instructions.
Safety boundary
- Read the opener model label and check only visible part markings; use the exact manual or LiftMaster support to confirm the rail/door-height configuration.
- Do not work on the chain drive, rail, trolley, shaft, spring, cable, door balance, internal wiring, or powerhead. Refer those tasks to a qualified garage-door technician.
- Never bypass or disconnect safety sensors or automatic reversal. Stop use if entrapment protection is missing, damaged, or fails an owner-level check in the exact manual.
Compatibility requires a direct model listing, explicit supersession, or equivalent manufacturer evidence.
Models explicitly covered
These model identities have the source evidence listed below. Read the part decision and suffix limits before ordering.
Required identifiers
- Complete opener label exactly 8360WLB; do not normalize to 8360W or 8360WL
- Existing sensor-kit label, if visible without moving or opening equipment; identify whether it is 041-0136
- Actual installed rail/door height (7, 8, or 10 feet) before selecting a chain-kit listing
Compatibility rules
- LiftMaster’s exact 8360WLB diagram lists G485LM battery, sensor kit 041-0136, brackets 041-0155-000, and three chain lengths: 041D3484 for 7 feet, 041D3483 for 8 feet, and 041D3485 for 10 feet.
- The same diagram calls out cover 041D8858 as “COVER, 8360WL”; preserve the OEM label and verify current ordering details with LiftMaster.
- LiftMaster states the 041-0155-000 bracket kit fits sensors 041-0136 only. Do not use that bracket entry to identify an older sensor generation.
Never assume
- All 8360 family suffixes use an identical complete parts list because their names are similar.
- The chain length can be chosen from the opener model alone without checking the actual door/rail height.
- A shared 041-0136 entry proves existing older sensor heads can be replaced by that kit without an exact-manual/model-generation check.
- A listed chain, cover, motor, shaft, rail, or drive part is appropriate for DIY installation or repair.
Exact 8360WLB parts receipt
LiftMaster’s replacement-parts page names 8360WLB and marks it discontinued. The page links the 8360WLB Product Guide and a model-specific parts diagram.
Battery and sensor generation
- G485LM: garage-door-opener battery listed for the exact model.
- 041-0136: 2021-to-present safety sensor kit listed for the exact model.
- 041-0155-000: safety-sensor bracket listing; LiftMaster’s part page restricts it to sensor kit 041-0136.
Chain length is a separate check
The 8360WLB parts diagram lists chain kit 041D3484 for 7 feet, 041D3483 for 8 feet, and 041D3485 for 10 feet. Confirm the installed rail and door height before ordering; the model label alone does not select among these lengths.
Owner-safe boundary
The part references support identification only. Do not use them as instructions to fit a chain, service a drive or rail, repair internal wiring, or work on high-force door hardware.
