Genie 1028 vs 2028 board fit: compare exact model and B suffix

The current Genie replacement-board page lists 41922R.S for 1028, 1028B, 2028, and 2028B, both with and without battery backup. Older board numbers were not the same: Genie says discontinued 38647R.S was for 1028 and names 41922R.S as its suitable replacement; Genie’s model-family diagram lists 38647S.S for 2028 models. Genie’s 1028B/2028B product pages say battery backup is included, while the base 1028/2028 pages describe no included backup; its installation FAQ says 1028/2028 base models cannot have a BBU added. Current board listing covers four exact models

Genie lists 41922R.S as compatible with 1028, 1028B, 2028, and 2028B. The page explicitly notes it can be used with or without backup battery installed.

Older original-board numbers were model-specific

B suffix indicates the included-backup model
